Our history

Joshua and I have been working together for over 5 years. I was his go-to designer and developer for his brand design agency LoveArts. So when it was time to develop the websites for his art shows, he naturally came to me. 🙂 I was more than excited to be a part of this project; super cool vibes and such a great way to feature artists whose work may not otherwise get their shine.

WEBSITE 1:

A Spectacular Black Girl Art Show

This website was a major growth experience for me as a developer. I have developed custom database-driven websites before, but this one was pretty in-depth. You wouldn’t know it from the front-end, but behind the scenes, I developed a custom template that loads the details for each indivdual art show (city), making it easy to update for Joshua’s team. Another fun element is the animated hand-drawn loops that appears as you scroll the page.

WEBSITE 2:

A Marvelous Black Boy Art Show

For this one, we duplicated the database to keep the bones of the other site and customized the site to fit the brand. The color palette is a bit more masculine with the use of forest green and red.
